“Flo helped me out a bit after the penalty! I am delighted he managed to get his first goal and that we are through to the next round of the Scottish Cup.
“I felt at the time it was not a penalty. It sounded like such a loud noise for such minimal contract from me so that is what has probably tempted the referee. I am just glad we managed to turn it round and I was able to put away a penalty which made me feel better about it.
“It has been a good week for us. The win against St Johnstone gave us a bit of confidence as it was our first win in the league for a while, and we got another good result on Saturday. So we are in a good place right now, the confidence is coming back and we are looking forward to putting a run together between now and the end of the season. Hopefully we can finish on a high as there is still a lot to play for.
“We have not given up on third spot, and need to try and put some pressure on Hibs. Then we have the Scottish Cup on Sunday.
“We only had a few training sessions with the new management team last week, so I am sure we will keep improving as we go along.
“We know it will be a tough on Wednesday. We know they will be at full strength. Celtic will be looking to bounce back after their result at the weekend. It is down to us to go in and try and implement our game plan and do as well as we can. We know if we play to our strengths, we can more than compete in the game.
“We are looking forwarding to it.
“Aberdeen v Celtic is always a big game. It is always one that produces a big crowd at Pittodrie but sadly we won’t have that tomorrow night. But we still see it as a really big game for us, and if we can get a result, it will give us a massive boost going into the final few weeks of the season.
“We are looking forward to Scott Brown coming in next season. I know he is someone who can help my game a lot. But being the very good professional he is, he like us will be fully focussed on the game and trying to win three points.
“It is a big week for us, starting tomorrow night.”
