“It has been a tough few week with some disappointing results, so it was important that we got back to winning ways.

“We have been told to start games fast and we haven’t done that in the last couple of weeks. In the first half today we did, we were breaking quickly and creating chances. They changed their shape a little bit which took us time to adjust to but when we got to grips with it we were fairly comfortable.

“Everyone is delighted for Curtis. He is a hard worker, and he does what all strikers want to do, they are judged on scoring goals. It was a brilliant finish for the second goal. He is such a strong player; he works so hard on his physique. It showed by being able to hold off the defender, turn and fire it into the back of the net, it was a great goal.

“When you are in and out of the team it is important that when you get your chance that you go out and impress and do well and he has done that today.

“It has been up and down for me this season; the team has done really well. I started the season doing well in preseason and I picked up my injury which kept me out for a couple of months which was frustrating. I just took the time to work on myself, to try and get stronger and to try and learn more about the game. I am delighted to get back onto the pitch and help the team to the win.”
