Sam Cosgrove | Post Match in Paisley

“After picking up the win on Tuesday, the only aim today was getting the three points. And we have done that.

“It was not a great performance, credit to St Mirren as they were dogged throughout, but we got the job done. Sometimes these types of wins and more enjoyable though.

“It was a cold one! It was freezing at first before you get into the game. To be the fair the pitch was in excellent condition consider the weather. So there was nothing to complain about the underfoot conditions, it was just the wind and the rain.

“There was no argument from anyone when Stevie went to pick up the ball. He is an accomplished finisher, as qualified as anyone to put the ball in the back of the net. Everyone was really pleased for him as he deserved his goal.

“For my goal, it was just one of those reaction finishes. Andy has done well to get on the end of it and he is unlucky in the end. Thankfully I was there to put it in.

“I said after the Livingston game, I hoped my goal there would be the start of a few goals coming my way. I managed to get another one today and I will be trying my best to keep the run going on Tuesday.

“Hopefully we can continue to move up the table and show everyone what we are about.

“The fans were great today. They recognise hard work.”
