Thank you Duk!
Striker Bojan Miovski scored goal number 13 and 14 for the season which helped the Dons defeat Livingston at Pittodrie on Wednesday night. The man of the match spoke to Rob Maclean and RedTV post match:
“It is always nice when we take the three points.
“It was hard because we conceded the first goal but we showed that we have a strong mentality and we want to win.
“It was important to score just before half time, of course, it is always nice when you score then, and then you still have another 45 minutes to win the game. But I think we can also score two or three goals in the last 15 minutes. We have to concentrate more in the final zone.
“I was a bit lucky my first goal hit the post and went in. It meant the goalkeeper has no chance to save it. I say lucky because sometimes it can hit the post and go out, like the Shinnie chance.
“The second goal, I always know that Duk is always dangerous one on one, so I try to find space between the defenders. It is difficult to find space when a team plays with three defenders, like Livingston do. They are a defence that do not concede too many goals. I think in their last ten games, they have not lost more than one goal a game. So it is hard to score against teams who defend well but I found some space and Duk hit it really well. Thank you Duk!
“I was close to a hat-trick, but the goalkeeper made a great save. Next time hopefully! I also had a shot which just went wide and there was the one where Ester crossed and I slid in. If I had gone for it a little bit more, I risked hitting the goalkeeper and possibly getting a red card, so I held my leg back.
“I keep going always. I always say in my mind, everyone remembers your last game. So I put everything behind me and I just concentrate on the next game and then the next game.
“Now we have finished with Europe and can concrete on the league and the next cup. Now it is time to try and collect the points and make up the ones we lost and go up the table.”
