Richard Jensen | Viaplay Cup quarter-final preview
“It was a good game against Frankfurt. We gave everything that we had and we showed that we can match a really good side. We will see if the performance in Germany will act as a catalyst for the season ahead. Time also brings us together, we have now had longer to work together.
“Obviously we have had a lot of new guys coming in this summer but now we have had some time getting used to each other and getting the dynamics right.
“It all came together on Sunday as we were extremely effective which we were pleased to see. I guess you can call it a ketchup bottle effect – first nothing really comes out and then suddenly everything comes out on the plate.
“I was very pleased with my assist! I knew that it wasn’t going in but I knew someone had to go and finish it and I am glad that Bojan did. It was a very lucky one obviously but they all count.
“But now we just need to keep the machinery going. It is one game that we were very happy with but like the coach said after the game we are expected to win at home so now we need to make sure we get results away and at home.
“We can forget about the game on Sunday.
“The game tomorrow is going to be very tough and we need to perform extremely well to win there and go through to the semi-finals. Obviously that is our aim and we hope to be successful there.
“It will be a great fight tomorrow. Hopefully we can pick up where we left off on Sunday but I expect it to be a very tough game that will be interesting for the fans.
“Cup football, it is do or die. That added pressure is nice and it is a great opportunity for us to fight for silverware this season so hopefully we can take the next step towards that. It is an opportunity for us but I guess every team left in the competition will have the same feeling. That makes it really difficult as everyone wants to grab it, so we need to be really focused and concentrated tomorrow to be able to win.”
