Richard Jensen Post Match Reaction

Refresh

The Dons’ new Finnish defender Richard Jensen was understandably disappointed with defeat against Hibs on Sunday, but says he sees positive signs for the season ahead at Pittodrie.

“We gave everything to the game against Hibs, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to get the result we wanted. We were looking for the three points, the fans deserved that most of all, but the goals we conceded were too easy for them. We need to analyse them and work on that, and the international break gives us the opportunity to do that.

“We are still learning about each other and how to operate as a unit. When new players come together, it does take time to get to know each other and we are going through that now. You can see some good things happening on the pitch but we need to develop that some more, develop the understanding with each other so that we can prevent what happened against Hibs in future.

“It’s been a great first ten days here for me, but because of the fixture list, it’s been really hectic and we haven’t had much time on the training pitch and to get to know each other as players. I’m looking forward to properly settling in, on and off the pitch.”
