After making his Dons debut last weekend, Junior Hoilett sat down with the media to look ahead to our cinch Premiership match at Rugby Park. RedTV subscribers can watch in full through the video above.
“Obviously I am familiar with the gaffer, I enjoy working under him and he gets the best out of his team. I am happy to be here and to help push the team up the table. I want to be apart of that and in every game to go and get the three points. It was a decision I didn’t have to think long about. I was ready to go and got the first flight up here!
“It is good to meet new people and learn from other people and also give my knowledge of the game to young players. I am here to help anyway that is possible both on and off the pitch. You can make new friends and friends for life. I enjoy meeting new people and learning from them too.
“From my first game at home, I saw the passion from the fans. It is nice to see and to be apart of this squad to push up the table and into the top six. Every game is intense and it is refreshing to be apart of that. I can’t wait to help out and achieve some good results with this team.
“Last weekend against Hibs was a good match. We were a bit unlucky to not get the three points. It was a bit back and forth but there was a good tempo to the game. The fans brought the passion and gave the team an extra boost. As long as the fans are behind us then I am sure we will be okay to get the results. My first taste of Scottish football was good.
“Saturday is a big game. Every game right now is a big game for us to get three points and to get us up the table and into the top six. Every game we have to treat like a play-off game. We have been working all week with the gaffer and the staff to go out there and nullify their strengths and to go out and get the result that is needed.”
