New signing Junior Hoilett spoke to RedTV shortly after arriving in the Granite City.

“It is good to be here. Obviously I have worked with the manager before, so when I got the phone call recently I did not think twice about coming up here and joining him.

“When he phones you, you can’t say no! He told me if I was interested I need to get on the next flight here! So I did not really have time to think about the decision or speak to anyone else. You don’t say no to the gaffer so I got my bags packed straight away and here I am.

“It is a great opportunity to get back playing football again. It is a great club here and I just want to be part of the squad and help them move up the table. It is a new opportunity for me to play in a new league and it is a new adventure. It is a great part of my football journey.

“I can’t wait to get back out there and it is great especially to be working with a manager who knows how to get the best out of me, and get the best out of everyone.

“He is a winner. Everywhere he has been, he has been successful. He knows how to win. He knows how to get them working together and also fighting for each other.

“When you play under a manager who gives you that confidence and wants you in his team, you will go that extra mile for him. It is great to have that support behind you, and from his staff as well.

“I still have a lot of fire in me for the game. I want to enjoy playing football again. I have been keeping fit and just waiting for the right opportunity to come along. I am raring go. I have been keeping fit and have been training with Reading so I am ready to get back out there and play matches again.”
