Goalscorer Jamie McGrath was delighted to see the Dons get their first win over Kilmarnock this season, booking a place at Hampden Park for the third time this season.

“It was a big win today after all that’s gone on since the winter break. It hasn’t been for the want of trying in the games but maybe we got a bit of the rub of the green for the first time in a while today, the deflections going in instead of going wide and that kind of thing.

“I thought we defended well, the boys at the back won everything, we got the second balls, and as a team, we can be pleased. But it can’t be a one off, we have to keep this going and go and win again on Wednesday night.

“We have to keep on doing what we’re doing, we’ve set the standard. If we work as hard as we have today, we’ll give ourselves a chance against anybody in the league. Dundee are in form so it’ll be a case of winning our battles all over the pitch.”
