Connor Barron | Hibernian Preview

Refresh

Midfielder Connor Barron was the player who spoke to the media on Friday to preview the cinch Premiership fixture against Hibernian on Saturday.

“It has been a quick turnaround from the last game but all the boys are ready to go. We know how important the game is.

“At this stage of the season, we have to be winning games. It has to happen now.

“The first 30 minutes on Wednesday were not good enough for Aberdeen football Club. It was not acceptable. We showed good character to fight back and get a point, we maybe could have got more from the game. We know we need to win these games.

“Going forward, we need to be better, we cannot be starting games like that. We take confidence from the rest of the game.

“At times this season we have been good, but we have not had enough victories and that is what it is all about.

“On Saturday we have the belief we can go and win the game. Every game for this club is important, more so this match on Saturday, the table is so tight, anything can happen and we have a chance to put three point on the board. We need to go and do that.

“Hibs are a good side, we know that, we respect every opponent we come up against, but at the end of the day we need to focus on ourselves and we need to do everything we can on Saturday and try and get the three points.

“The new manager has made it very clear what he wants from us. I have enjoyed working with him so far and hopefully we can go and have a strong end to the season under him.

“The fans are massive for us. When you are on the pitch, you take real confidence from the noise going on in the background. When they are right behind you, Pittodrie is a hard place for anyone to come to. They really help us.”
