Barry Robson and Dante Polvara spoke to the media on Wednesday afternoon to preview our final UEFA Europa Conference League Group G game against Eintracht Frankfurt. RedTV subscribers can watch in full through the video above.

Read what Barry Robson had to say in this press conference:

“We are playing against Eintracht Frankfurt, one of the great sides of European football. For me and the players we have to focus on what lies ahead. We are not naïve to think that we don’t have to come here and perform because this is a big game for us. They have top, talented players so we need to make sure that we are at our best tomorrow.

“We have got a group of players here who I believe in. We need to make sure that we use as many players as we can in the squad. In Helsinki we took some players in and they performed really well. We have to make sure that as a whole squad we perform well over the next two games. As a staff and as a manager that is what we’re trying to do and make everyone as fresh as we can in both games.

“If you perform really well and score a hat-trick what a great opportunity it is for you (to play at Hampden on Sunday). You can have a good game or you can have a poor game but for me as long as the attitude and application is there. That is what we are trying to do and everyone has an opportunity to play in both games.

“In terms of team news, everyone is okay, we’re still waiting on Bojan. We will see how he is in the morning. Hopefully it is nothing too serious. He has a hamstring issue but we are trying to give him every opportunity. It’s not a serious injury, it won’t hold him back long term or anything like that. It is more hours and days rather then weeks.

“Being really honest when we have had a bit of momentum we have always had a tough game coming after and that is hard to get that real momentum. If you do get a win and then you maybe do come up against a really top team, we have performed really well. Sometimes we have come up a bit short in Europe at times but the performances have been good. It has been hard to get a real good bit of momentum going at this stage of the season with the games that we have played in. Europe has been great. The fans have loved it, I saw them over there in Frankfurt. I was at a dinner here last night with Dave Cormack, Allan Burrows and some fans and all they were just talking about their European memories from this season with their kids. It has been great all round for the club and for the prestige. We are on the map again and that has been the pleasing factor for me.

“The first time I came into the job, I watched Dante in training and right away I went ‘Oh, what is this?!’ He is 6 foot 3 inches, he can run, good with both feet, can score goals and he was lighting it up in training, I mean lighting it up. I thought if he can put all of this together he has a chance. He wanted to go out on loan because for whatever reason it never worked for him previously here. I saw something in him, I saw a talent in him, I saw a drive in him. I reluctantly let him go out on loan and I said to him he had to be back for the start of pre-season. I actually tried to keep him here and put him on loan to a club close by so I could keep an eye on him but he wanted to go back to America. It always sat on my mind that he wasn’t going anywhere. When I saw him in the two pre-season games, against big teams, Charlton and Preston, I thought he was outstanding.

“You will have seen in big games that I have trusted him. Tactically he gets it, he has scored goals. He will be one, in the next year to 18 months that a lot of people will be talking about. You can see how he is on the pitch with his stature and the way he can perform with two feet. He will be a real asset for this football club, he just needs time.”
