Aberdeen Women
Aberdeen Women will start their 2025/26 ScottishPower Women’s Premier League campaign with an away trip to face league champions Hibernian. The Dons will make the trip to the capital on the 17th August for the curtain raiser.
Scott Booth’s side play their first home match a week later when 2024/25 league runners-up Glasgow City make the trip to the Balmoral Stadium. Aberdeen round off the opening month of the season with a trip to Links Park to take on Montrose.
The winter break comes into play after the home game with Rangers on 21st December, with the Dons returning to action in the league on the 18th January with an away trip to Hamilton Academical.
Aberdeen round off their opening set of fixtures with a home match against Hibs with the league then splitting into a top and bottom half for the remaining matches.
The SWPL will have 10 teams participating this season, reduced from 12 teams last term, with each team playing 18 matches, once home and once away. After those set of fixtures are complete, the league splits into a top six and bottom four. The top six teams play a further 10 matches, with the bottom four sides playing an additional six matches. The side who finishes 10th in the league will automatically be relegated, with the side who finishes ninth playing a single leg Play-off match against the SWPL2 Play-off winners.
