“The spirit over the last couple of days has been good. It is what you would expect from the players that we have got in this group.

“They are hurting from the recent results that we have had, none more so than Saturday. The good thing we have at the club is real honesty from everyone.

“The players expect more of themselves, we expect more of the players but sometimes things happen.

“Sometimes poor results happen. We have had a sequence of wins which led to a club record and now we have had a sequence of defeats which is not welcome but is something we have to deal with.

“The players need reminded of what it takes to win games and what we need to be doing better but we are top of the league.

“We have to keep reminding ourselves of that.

“We are eight points better off than we were last year. At this stage last season we were four points behind Celtic. We are now one point ahead of them. So when you compare it to previous seasons we are better off. It does not feel like it at the minute after a disappointing result but it is important we stay balanced and stay focused.

“It is important we get back to winning ways as soon as possible.”
