With formalities now concluded, interim assistant Tony Docherty has this evening left the Club.

Tony re-joined Aberdeen FC for the second time last month, agreeing a short-term deal to support interim boss Peter Leven during a difficult period for the team.

Following the confirmation of Stephen Robinson as the Dons’ new Head Coach, a review of the coaching structure was undertaken, and Tony will now leave his post.

Sporting Director Lutz Pfannenstiel said: “We would like to thank Tony for his contribution during his short spell back with us.

“His overall contribution to this Club has been immense and his departure reflects the natural changes that often follow the appointment of a new Head Coach.

“He has been extremely professional throughout and we wish him all the very best for the future.”

Should any further changes be made to the staff, they will be communicated when officially confirmed.
