Scottish Cup Photo Opportunity at Pittodrie
On Monday 22nd September, Dons fans will have an opportunity to get up close with the legendary Scottish Cup trophy!
This special experience is the latest in our series of unforgettable events celebrating the iconic trophy’s return to the North-East. Don’t miss your chance to be part of history.
In an effort to share our Scottish Cup success with as many people as possible, the club recently invited supporters far and wide to register their interest in receiving a visit from the historic trophy, and the response was overwhelming!
Over 500 organisations registered their interest in hosting the Scottish Cup, and to kick things off, the trophy is making its way around every postcode in Aberdeen.
The Aberdeen City Trophy Tour, presented by Gary Walker Wealth Management, is taking place throughout September with the aim of giving as many Dons supporters as possible the chance to see the historic trophy up close and personal, visiting each Aberdeen city postcode in the first phase of the trophy tour.
The tour kicked off with a launch event hosted by Gary Walker Wealth Management before making it’s way to the Robert Gordon University Fresher’s Fayre, where students returning and new to the city had the chance to take photos with the trophy. The trophy then made it’s way to Camphill School, Tesco Danestone and the Trinity Shopping Centre to name just a few locations!
This event at Pittodrie will run from 10am – 6.30pm on Monday 22nd September, with slots available every half an hour (first at 10am, last at 6pm). Slots are available to book online via afc.co.uk/eTickets, through the Pittodrie Ticket Office or by calling 01224 63 1903.
Fans will have the opportunity to take their photo with the Scottish Cup at Pittodrie, in the Richard Donald Stand. Entry is behind the Sir Alex Ferguson statue, where a member of the Supporter Engagement Team will be there to greet you.
Keep an eye on AFC’s channels for more information on where the trophy will head to next!
Once the Aberdeen City phase has been completed, the trophy will make its way to Aberdeenshire and beyond, as well as visiting other venues in the city not included in this first phase of the tour.
Our team is in the process of reviewing all submissions and developing a schedule that is both practical and inclusive, allowing us to maximise the reach of the tour. If your request is selected, a member of staff from the club will be in touch directly with further details.
