Away from club action, it’s been a busy period for a host of our Dons who have spent the international break on duty with their country.

Topi Keskinen  – Finland

Topi linked up with the Finland National Team for a friendly against Scandinavian counterparts Norway, and a World Cup Qualifier against Poland.

Our winger started versus Norway, playing 75 minutes, with the Eagle Owls losing out 1-0 after Man City’s Erling Haaland’s struck from the penalty spot after 17 minutes.

Keskinen was an unused substitute away to Poland, with Jacob Friis’ side losing 3-1 in Chorzów, leaving Finland 3rd in Group G after five games. Topi now has five senior caps to his name.

Nicolas Milanovic – Australia

It was a special trip to the homeland for Nicolas Milanovic, who made his Socceroo’s senior debut in their 1-0 friendly win against New Zealand.

Nicolas was introduced after 74 minutes at the GIO Stadium in Canberra, with Max Ballard, also making his debut, scoring an 87th minute winner.

The Aussies completed the double in the ‘Soccer Ashes’ after a 3-1 win on Tuesday in the return leg of the friendly double header, with Mila introduced in the 86th minute in Auckland to claim a second cap, and round off a productive break for our new winger.

Dimitar Mitov – Bulgaria

It was an international break to forget for Bulgaria, who lost both of their World Cup Qualifiers 3-0, sending them to the bottom of Group E.

Dimi, who has 11 senior caps, was an unused substitute in both the home game against European Champions Spain, and the away trip to the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena in Georgia.

Kjartan Már Kjartansson – Iceland U21s

Summer signing Kjartan was away with Iceland U21s and started both games, with the Strákarnir Okkar unable to get their U21 European Championship Qualifying off to a winning start.

A 2-1 loss at home to the Faroe Islands in Reykjavík kicked off their campaign, before a trip to Estonia yielded a 1-1 draw. More qualifying matches, this time against Switzerland and Luxembourg, await in the October break.

Mitchel Frame – Scotland U21s

Left back Frame was a late call up to Scot Gemmill’s Scotland U21 squad, with our recent recruit named on the bench for their Under-21 European Qualifier against Portugal at Fir Park.

Mitchel was introduced for the final 20 minutes but was unable to help mount a comeback, with his side already 2-0 down and on the losing side in Lanarkshire.

Rodrigo Vitols – Latvia U19s

Our young ‘keeper was away with the Latvia U19s and enjoyed two friendly wins over Malta, both games finishing 3-0 to the young Vilki.

Cooper Masson – Scotland U19s

On-loan Kelty Hearts midfielder Cooper was involved with Scotland U19s for a triple header in the Slovenia Nations Cup.

An unused substitute in the first game against Slovenia, 16-year old Masson featured off the bench against both Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates.
