The first international matches of season 2025-26 is upon us already as we take a break from domestic action. There is a handful of Dons who will be representing their national teams over the next 10 days.

Dimitar Mitov – Bulgaria

Bulgaria begin their World Cup qualifying campaign with a big 90 minutes against Euro 2024 winners Spain at the Vasil Levski National Stadium, before making the trip to Georgia three days later.

Dimi and his countrymen are joined by Turkey in Group E, as they look to qualify for their first World Cup since 1998. The Dons ‘keeper has made 11 appearances for his country to date.

Topi Keskinen – Finland

Our Finnish winger has made the step up from the U21s back into the senior fold as he joins up with the Eagle Owls to get their own qualifying campaign underway.

After a friendly at Norway, they will kick-off their World Cup push with a trip to Chorzów to take on Poland. Finland are also joined by The Netherlands, Lithuania and Malta in Group G.

Nicolas Milanovic – Australia

The Socceroos and Nicolas Milanovic have two friendly matches to look forward to over the break with World Cup Qualification already secured.

They will take part in a double header against New Zealand, dubbed the ‘soccer ashes’, with Milanovic receiving his first international call up for the two games.

Kjartan Már Kjartansson – Iceland U21s

Our summer signing from Stjarnan links up with the Iceland U21 side as they begin their UEFA U21 qualifying campaign. The midfielder, who made his debut for Iceland at this level against Brazil in the summer, will face the Faroe Islands and Estonia.

Cooper Masson – Scotland U19s

On loan Kelty Hearts midfielder Cooper Masson will represent Scotland U19s over the break. Neil MacFarlane’s lost out 3-2 to Slovenia in the opening game of the Slovenia Nations Cup on Wednesday lunchtime. The young Scots will also take on Kazakhstan, and the United Arab Emirates.
