Alex Clarke | I’m looking forward to next week already
Alex Clarke was pleased to get both her first Aberdeen goal and her first win as a Don under her belt with a big victory at Links Park on Sunday.
“I’m very happy.
“I think we worked hard today. First half, second half, I think we were the better team in both. Everyone worked extremely hard for each other. And I think we deserved the win.
“It actually reminded me a wee bit at home there today, playing against Montrose. A few battles on the pitch, but you need that. It makes the game exciting.
“We were looking at that all week, getting in behind, and then we were able to pull it off. There were a few chances I maybe could have put away earlier.
“We got the one that we needed when we needed it and I’m happy. We probably should have scored a lot more than we did.
“Toni’s goal was great as well. It was a brilliant header, and we can go home knowing we’ve got three points on the board, so we’re happy.
“Now the focus is on Partick. I’m looking forward to next week already.
“I loved playing at home last time, it was something I really enjoyed, being at the Balmoral.
“It will be another tricky game, but is one we are aiming to win, and back up this performance with another good one.”
