“We’ve been looking forward to the game, and now it is finally here.

“Everybody’s super excited, super positive, and we are looking forward to tomorrow night.

“It’s amazing. It’s everything us as players want. The club is an amazing football club with a great fan base, and the fans have been supporting us since I’ve been here.  They’ve been great. We couldn’t really ask more from them. They’re doing their bit, and now it’s up to us as players to give them something to be happy about and to be proud of.

“Tomorrow is a great opportunity under the lights to put in a performance they’re going to be proud of.

“You improve when you play games at a higher level. You always look to improve and when you play for (big clubs that are involved in big occasions) it is different because there’s a pressure. There’s a pressure of winning, and there’s a pressure of doing well. Me personally, I am embracing that.

“I’m enjoying the challenge of being put under the pressure to perform, that’s the only way you grow. It’s something you want to do in your career. You want to play for clubs like that, and we saw the result when you win things. It’s just amazing. The challenge for us is to keep doing it consistently.

“It’s about what we do and how we do it, we set the tempo from minute one. I think that’s really important; we just go for it.

“If you actually sit down and analyse the three games, we’ve actually played really well. Just moments in the games where we switch off maybe or we’re not being consistent enough, that’s a challenge for us.

“If you want to be at the best, fighting for the top positions, we have to be consistent throughout the season. We cannot afford to have dips. And I know sometimes if you look at the two games we’ve played in the league, there wasn’t much in them.

“For us, it’s about not conceding goals and then scoring goals. But I’m sure with the more performances we put together, the results will follow for sure.

“Of course, it’s important (to avoid conceding from set pieces). But we’re trying to keep the number low in general, not just from set pieces, but from open play. Because we conceded far too many goals last season, which is not ideal.

“That’s the beauty of the game because now we can look back and learn from it and see where the mistakes were, see where maybe we’re not as organised as we would like to. And now for us, it’s just about being consistent. It’s the most important thing this season, keeping the same level of performances because we’re a really good team. And when we do that, we’re going to be very dangerous.

“Our aim is to progress, of course.

“We’re not here just to make up the numbers. We are club where we like to think that we can fight with them and obviously progress, that’s our target. There’s no hiding about it.

“We want to progress. We want to do well. Tomorrow is a great opportunity to do well.

“What we have to look at is performing, putting a good performance in because when you put in good performances, result follow.

“There will be an odd game when we don’t play as well and we grind the result, but for us, it’s about being consistent every week. Doesn’t matter if you play in the cup, in Europe, in the league, regardless. It’s performances, its consistency, and that’s the challenge for us tomorrow.

“We want to go to the Europa League.

“For us, it’s an unbelievable opportunity to create history. To be the first set of players to qualify the team for the Europa League. Tomorrow is the perfect opportunity for us. We need to go out there and just be ourselves.

“People say don’t play the occasion, play the game. That is going to be important for us.”
