It was Matchday 2 in the SPFL and Matchday 4 in the Highland League this weekend as a number of our young Development Dons took to the field across the country for their loan sides.

Here is how they got on:

Findlay Marshall | On Loan At: Arbroath | Match: Queen’s Park 1-3 Arbroath

It was a Saturday to remember for Findlay as he scored and was named Player of the Match in the Red Lichties victory over Queen’s Park in Glasgow. The midfielder player just over 70 minutes as he grabbed his first goal for the club, a diving header to help Arbroath to their first three points on their return to the Scottish Championship.

Noah McDonnell, Jamie Mercer & Dylan Ross | On Loan At: Elgin City | Match: Elgin City 0-1 East Kilbride

Noah McDonnell was the only Dons representative on the pitch as Elgin narrowly lost out to League 2 newcomers East Kilbride on Saturday. The Northern Irish defender made his first start in the league for the Borough Briggs side, playing the full 90 minutes.

Alfie Stewart & Alfie Bavidge | On Loan At: Inverness CT | Match: Inverness CT 2-0 Peterhead

The two Alfie’s were both involved as Inverness made it two wins from two at the start of their League One campaign. Midfielder Alfie Stewart played for just over an hour whilst striker Alfie Bavidge played the final half hour as the Highlanders continued their positive start to the season.

Cooper Masson, Lewis Carrol & Joseph Teasdale | On Loan At: Kelty Hearts | Match: Montrose 1-2 Kelty Hearts

All three Dons were involved in an exciting encounter at Links Park at the weekend, with our very own Joseph Teasdale climbing off the bench to score a brilliant late winner to hand a first three points of the season to Kelty Hearts. Midfielder Cooper Masson played the full 90 minutes and set up the opening goal with Joseph Teasdale and Lewis Carrol both coming off the bench in the second half.

Zak To & Jack Searle | On Loan At: Keith | Theo Simpson & Aaron Cummings | On Loan At: Buckie Thistle | Match: Keith 0-2 Buckie Thistle

Buckie maintained their 100% start to the Highland League season with a 2-0 victory over Keith at Kynoch Park. Zak To and Jack Searle both started the match for the home side with Aaron Cummings coming on for the away team as they picked up maximum points. Goalkeeper Theo Simpson was an unused substitute for Buckie.

Bradley Chikomo & Conner Douglas | On Loan At: Inverurie Loco Works | Match: Brora Rangers 2-0 Inverurie Loco Works

After signing for the Highland League side in the morning, forward Bradley Chikomo came off the bench to make his debut for Inverurie on Saturday afternoon. However, it was not the result the Harlaw Park side were after as they slipped to 2-0 defeat at Brora. Goalkeeper Conner Douglas played the full 90 minutes as the Locos search for their first win of the season.
