Season preview with the captain
Captain Graeme Shinnie sat down with RedTV to look ahead to the 2025/26 campaign.
After fulfilling a lifelong ambition and lifting the Scottish Cup with the Dons in May, Graeme reflected on that achievement and how he is feeling as fit as ever ahead of the season opener on Monday, the same day as his 34th birthday.
He also discussed how the squad needs to strive for better levels of consistency after an up and down campaign last time out.

“I think the big thing for us this season, away from trophies and silverware, is consistency. For us last year we lacked consistency. We were sort of opposite ends of the scale, we were either very, very good or very, very bad and there was no in between. We started off like a house on fire, we won however many games it was at the start and then we went on a horrendous run of not winning in about 14 games which is different ends of the scale.
“We managed to get back on track, we had some great results, we beat Hibs which put us into the position where we wanted to be fighting, then we lost the last four games of the season. It was so up and down and then we go onto win the cup!
“The inconsistency was so bad for us last season, we want to change that, we want to be more consistent throughout the season. If we can do that then it will be a good season again.”
