Alfie Bavidge Heads North on Loan
Alfie Bavidge has today joined Scottish League One side Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC on loan until the end of the season.
After impressing in the academy, scoring plenty of goals throughout his young career, the striker made his first team debut on 4 February 2023, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 3–1 win against Motherwell. To facilitate his continued development the Scotland U19 international joined Kelty Hearts on loan in September 2023.
Last season Alfie would again go out on loan, this time to Ayr United, managed by former Don, Scott Brown. After making 15 appearances and scoring two goals at Ayr, Alfie was recalled in January 2025 and sent on loan to Inverness Caledonian Thistle for the remainder of the season where he scored six goals in 10 matches before injury struck.
The 19-year-old forward will reunite with team-mate Alfie Stewart who joined Caley Thistle on loan earlier this summer.
Commenting on the loan move for Alfie, Dons boss Jimmy Thelin said:
“We’ve had a good look at Alfie throughout pre-season, and we believe that he will benefit further from another period of regular game time. We’ll be monitoring his progress closely and will review the position again at the turn of the year.”
Everyone wishes Alfie well during his spell in Inverness.
