Young Dons fans from Aberdeenshire will be able to travel to Pittodrie for free, with adults enjoying exclusive discounts, making it even easier to back the Dons this season.

Stagecoach, one of the UK’s largest bus and coach operators, has renewed its successful partnership with Aberdeen Football Club, continuing its role as Official Aberdeenshire Public Transport provider for supporters travelling from across Aberdeenshire to home matches.

Since the partnership’s inception, Stagecoach has worked closely with the club to offer significant benefits to supporters residing outside of the city. This has primarily included a generous 50% discount on Stagecoach’s popular Bluebird Explorer Adult Dayrider tickets for all home matchdays, making it easier and cost effective for fans to back the Dons.

This renewed collaboration underscores Stagecoach’s commitment to supporting local communities and enhancing the matchday experience for Aberdeen FC fans, providing convenient, affordable and sustainable travel options to Pittodrie Stadium.

The offer will officially launch this week as Jimmy Thelin’s side take on Ipswich Town in their final pre-season friendly before the 2025/26 league season kicks off. All match ticket holders living in Aberdeenshire are being sent an exclusive discount code by the club, with the offer also being applicable to all forthcoming home matches.

As part of the renewed partnership, Stagecoach will continue to benefit from presence at Pittodrie Stadium with prominent branding across the club’s new LED boards.

David Beaton, Managing Director for Stagecoach North Scotland, said: “We are excited to continue our partnership with Aberdeen FC which really benefits Dons supporters across the region. Our exclusive discount will open up our entire network of bus services, making it easier for fans to enjoy a match at Pittodrie with family or friends.

“Travelling by bus to a match is a sustainable and healthy choice and thanks to this great partnership it’s a good choice for your wallet, too. And of course, younger Dons fans can already get on board for free, thanks to the Under 22 bus pass scheme.

“We’re looking forward to seeing lots of fans on board as we join Aberdeen FC in making a positive contribution to the local community.”

Gary Herbert, Business Development Manager at Aberdeen FC added:

“Stagecoach have been an invaluable partner for the club and by working together we have collectively managed to enhance the matchday experience for our Aberdeenshire based supporters.

“Their commitment to providing discounted and reliable transport has been hugely appreciated, especially in the current economic climate. We look forward to working together to ensure even more fans can easily make their way to Pittodrie to back the team this season.”
