Former England youth goalkeeper Anna Prawer has joined Aberdeen Women on a permanent contract.

The 21-year-old, who had previously featured for both Chelsea and Arsenal U21s, joins the Dons after four years in the States, where she plied her trade for Division 1 Seton Hall University in New Jersey, graduating with a B.A in English Literature and Philosophy in May of this year.

During her time in the US, Anna featured in every game during her senior collegiate season, with Seton Hall recording their best campaign since 2011, which included wins against top 25 colleges Georgetown and Xavier University.

Dons boss Scott Booth is pleased to add another goalkeeper to the fold as preparations continue to ramp up ahead of season 2025/26.

He said: “I am delighted that we are now able to welcome Anna to the club.

“She will provide real competition in the goalkeeping department which is something we are keen to have going forward.

“She comes with a really interesting background in America and in England, and I’m confident that she has all the attributes to be a success during her time at the club.”

London born Prawer has signed a one-year deal with the Dons and is keen to get going.

“It has been a quick turnaround from when I got back from The States. As soon as I heard of the interest, I knew what an opportunity it was, so I was sold on the move right from the beginning”, said Anna.

“The manager has a great philosophy for the club, and I’m really excited to see what he can do, but also what we can do to help him.

“He explained what his objectives are for the season and that he wants us to be as competitive as possible, so I am looking forward to playing my part.

“I’m really excited to be an Aberdeen player, and I can’t wait to get going.”
