Alfie Stewart will join Scottish League One side Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC on loan until January.

The 18-year-old central midfielder, who joined the full time ranks at Pittodrie in the summer of 2022, returns to the Caledonian Stadium where he was on loan for the second half of last season.

The Newtonhill youngster made 18 appearances and scored three goals for the ‘Caley Jags’ having previously become the first player to skipper an Aberdeen side in the UEFA Youth League earlier in the season.

Commenting on the loan move for Alfie, Dons boss Jimmy Thelin said:

“Alfie enjoyed a successful spell with Inverness CT last season so the option for him to return there and build that again, in an environment he is familiar with, made sense for his ongoing development.

“He’ll continue to get exposed to senior football on a regular basis which is important for him at this stage in his career.”
