Adam Emslie has today signed for Championship side Ross County for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old winger and AFC Youth Academy graduate made his breakthrough into the Dons U18 side in 2020.

He joined Highland League side Formartine United on loan in the summer of 2023 before a successful loan move to Cove Rangers last season.

“We wish Adam all the best with his move to Ross County”, said Dons boss Jimmy Thelin.

“Adam has always demonstrated a positive attitude towards his development, and he is at the stage now where he needs regular senior football and we couldn’t promise him that at Aberdeen.

“We will always try to be fair with the young players to ensure we don’t block their pathway or stand in the way of their continued development. We must also ensure that we ourselves have a clear path for the next generation of our younger players to come through to develop.

“He’s joining a good club where he’ll get the opportunity to take another step in his career. We have also protected ourselves if he does well, so this is a good arrangement for all involved.”

Everyone at Aberdeen FC would like to thank Adam for his efforts and wish him well in his future career.
