Hannah Stewart has penned a two-year extension with the Dons that will see her remain with the Club until at least the summer of 2027.

Stewart joined Aberdeen in winter 2022 after spells at Glasgow City and Forfar Farmington, the striker originally coming through the Aberdeen Ladies set up.

She has gone on to feature 112 times for the club since her arrival, scoring on 28 occasions.

The No.9 was made AFC Women’s captain by then manager Clint Lancaster in 2023 and has led the side out at Pittodrie on three occasions, scoring against Dundee United at the home of the Dons.

She also made history when she captained the side in the Scottish Cup Semi-final at Hampden against Rangers, becoming the first Dons women’s captain to lead the side out at the National Stadium.

28-year-old Stewart is delighted to commit the next two years of her career to the Club.

She said: “I’m really happy. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be right now than here and playing for Aberdeen in the SWPL1. I’m delighted to sign and am looking forward to seeing what the next two years brings.

“It’s nice to know that the Club want me here as much as I want to be here. The staff and I all want the same things, we want to keep pushing us forward, and it’s something that I’m really excited to be a part of.

“It’s an exciting time to be a player in the league. Everyone’s eager to get going in a few weeks, so hopefully we can hit the ground running.”
