Season 2024/25 is now all over for all but one of our Dons with the last international break of the season coming to a conclusion.

Topi Keskinen – Finland U21s

Finland U21s and Topi are still to begin their competitive matches – they are in Slovakia for the UEFA European U21 Championships.

They kick-start their tournament with a clash against The Netherlands in Košice on Thursday night, before also taking on Ukraine and Denmark in Group D.

This is only Finland’s second time competing at the U21 Championships, their maiden voyage came back in 2009.

The Eagle-Owls defeated Norway 6-3 on aggregate to reach the prestigious tournament. Everyone at AFC wishes Topi and his teammates all the very best in Slovakia. Onnea!Dimitar Mitov – Bulgaria

Dimi jetted off to meet up with his Bulgaria teammates to take part in two friendly matches.

He was an unused substitute for the 2-2 draw with Cyprus at the Hristo Botev Stadium, but the ‘keeper returned between the sticks to take on a strong Greece side in Crete, unfortunately losing out 4-0.

Bulgaria will return to action in September to begin their World Cup Qualifiers, they are in group E alongside Georgia, Spain and Turkiye.

Kristers Tobers – Latvia

There was one friendly and one World Cup Qualifier for Latvia to take care of before they could head off for the Summer. The friendly produced a 0-0 draw with Azerbaijan before the Sarkanbaltsarkanie again drew the second game, this time 1-1 with Albania in Riga to take them to four points from their first three qualifying matches.

Dons defender Tobers was an unused substitute for the Azerbaijan game and didn’t feature against Albania.
