Topi Keskinen is headed to the Euros
Topi Keskinen was this afternoon named in the Finland U21 side that will compete in this summer’s UEFA European U21 Championships.
Fresh from winning the Scottish Cup with the Dons at the weekend, Topi will join up with his national side for the tournament in Slovakia.
The young Owls will take on The Netherlands, Ukraine and Denmark as they look to progress out of Group D.
Topi, who has also been capped at senior level for Finland, spoke to RedTV earlier this year about the upcoming Championships:
“We have qualified for the U21 European Championships with Finland this summer. It is a big achievement for Finnish football. I think its only the second time Finland has qualified for the Euros. If I am selected it’s going to be a camp I have never experienced before, we will be away for a few weeks. It will be different but a good experience.”
Everyone at Aberdeen wishes Topi and the rest of the Finland U21 squad all the very best for this summer!
