CAS Cup double for Young Dons at Pittodrie

Aberdeen U13s and U14s delivered a memorable cup double in the Pittodrie sun at the weekend, beating Rangers on the Saturday and Celtic on the Sunday to ensure it was the Dons who got their hands on both CAS Cups.

The Young Dons more than delivered on the big stage, and it was the U13s who got the weekend off to the perfect start thanks to a 8-4 victory, Gavi Osula netting three times for his side.

Kris Mavor’s and Kyle Buick’s side came through games against Motherwell, Hearts, Hibernian, Hamilton and then Kilmarnock, winning every match, to earn a spot in the showpiece final.

Led by Scott Duncan, Kieran Hamill, Calum MacDonald and Kyle Buick,  the Dons then rallied to defeat Celtic 3-1 on the Saturday to cap off another excellent cup campaign that saw Aberdeen defeat Rangers on penalties in the Semi-final, after already emerging victorious against Ross County, St Johnstone, Dunfermline and Inverness.
