Off the back of netting the all-important equaliser at Pittodrie on Wednesday, Dons forward Darcie Miller sat down to look ahead to what is now a massively important trip to Foundation Park on Sunday afternoon.

“I’m still buzzing. I actually can’t believe it. I’ve watched the video of the goal like 900 times. It hasn’t really sunk in. I didn’t even expect to be on the pitch.

“Scott said, “If you get one chance, take it.” And I think I did that! I think I did pretty well, I’m not going to lie.

“It’s actually quite emotional, because this season hasn’t been the best for me. So then for that to happen the way it did, that just felt really, really good.  I have worked hard for that moment.

“I went with my cousin to Pittodrie all the time when I was younger. I never thought I’d even be playing on the pitch if I’m honest – let alone score. It’s mental.

“Scott gave me a big hug, so did Katie. Everyone was saying how much I deserved it, it was just a really good moment. Him and Katie have been good because I’m very hard on myself. On Sunday, I missed that chance and I was very, very hard on myself. So me and Katie had a good chat on Tuesday night, she helped me a lot. They are both great with me.

“I’m looking forward to Sunday now. It’s a huge three points that we need, and hopefully we can get them.

“They are relegated, but they’re still going to fight. They have done well the last few weeks, so we know it will be tricky. It will be a close game.

“We just want to get it over the line and get confirmed as safe. We want to do that as soon as possible. Although it is frustrating we couldn’t do that on Wednesday, we now have a chance to get it done this weekend.

“I feel confident now, even training has felt better since Wednesday for me. Everything feels better for me now, so hopefully I can take that into Sunday and we can get what we need from the game.
