Niamh Noble previews our game against Partick Thistle
Fresh off the back of back-to-back starts, Niamh Noble sat down to preview Aberdeen Women’s home clash against Partick Thistle on Sunday at the Balmoral.
“Thursday night was great. It was a really good night, and I was really pleased for everybody who won an award. I was really proud of Aimee, so that was a great moment.
“It’s been great to be back playing. It has been difficult with the change of formation and then not playing as often, but I have enjoyed the last couple of games.
“Spartans was a difficult game, a scrappy game, and it came right in the middle of a busy period, but we move on.
“Sunday will also be tricky, Partick are a good side and they are playing well. Our game against them last time was scrappy, it was tight, but we managed to get the win. It was a good performance from us, and we will need the same level again. All the games against them this season have been close games.
“We need to pick up a few more wins to make sure we can be happy come the end of the season. We aren’t far away, but we now have two home games, which is a chance to get six points, and that would put us in a good position. It is now just about getting points on the board.
“Wednesday will be a great occasion, but we need to get through Sunday first – hopefully when it comes we can have a strong crowd behind us, because it really does help so much, and then we can put on a show, perform to the levels we know we can, and then the points can follow.
“For me now the goal is to make sure we stay in the league first and foremost. That is the priority, and then personally it would be great to get as many minutes as I can, and finish the season as strong as possible.”
