How our Dons got on over the international break
The first international break of the year has come to a close, here is how our Dons got on with their national sides:
Kevin Nisbet – Scotland
After scoring five goals in seven games, Kevin linked up with the Scotland squad for the two Nation League play-off games with Greece. The on-loan Millwall forward didn’t add to his 11 caps as Scotland defeated Greece in Piraeus but were ultimately relegated from the Nations League group following a 3-0 defeat at Hampden.
Oday Dabbagh – Palestine
Oday started both of Palestine’s games in their World Cup qualifying group. He played for just over 70 minutes in Palestine’s 3-1 defeat to Jordan and started their 2-1 last gasp victory over Iraq. The historic victory lifts Palestine off of the bottom of the table and keeps their World Cup qualifying hopes alive.
Dimitar Mitov – Bulgaria
Dimi joined up with his national side for a double header with Ireland in a Nations League Group B Play-off matches. Unfortunately for the goalkeeper he was forced off at half-time of the opening game in Plovdiv after picking up an injury. Ireland overcame Bulgaria 4-2 on aggregate with Bulgaria remaining in Group C of the Nations League.
Topi Keskinen – Finland U21s
The winger joined up with Finland’s U21s as they stepped up their preparations for the European U21 Championships in Slovakia later this month with two friendly matches in Turkey. He started in their 4-2 defeat to Georgia and played for an hour as they overcame Slovenia 1-0.

Slobodan Rubezic – Montenegro
Rubi and Montenegro began their World Cup qualifying campaign with games against Gibraltar and Faroe Islands. He was an unused sub in both games as they started their group with maximum points.
Lewis Carrol, Fletcher Boyd, Cooper Masson – Scotland U17s
It was a positive camp for our Dons as the young Scots topped Group B1 in their UEFA Under 17 qualifying group. Fletcher Boyd netted in the 2-2 draw with North Macedonia and in the 8-0 victory over Lichtenstein while Cooper Masson scored late on in the 2-0 win over Romania. Lewis Carrol played the full 90 minutes in the win over Lichtenstein. By topping the group the young Scots have earned promotion to League A for the 2026/2027 Under-19 competition.
Noah McDonnell – Northern Ireland U17s
Under U18s defender Noah McDonnell started two of Northern Ireland’s Euro Under 17 qualifiers against Slovenia and England. The young Northern Irish side drew 1-1 with Slovenia but lost out 1-0 to Israel and 5-0 to England.
