Defender Jessica Broadrick has today returned to Aberdeen Women on loan until the end of the season.

Broadrick, 20, left the Dons in the summer of 2024 in pursuit of full-time football at Hearts after making 124 appearances during her first spell at Aberdeen.

Broadrick joined Aberdeen in 2019 and in 2022 she penned a semi-professional deal at Cormack Park, becoming one of the first of five players to make the move to semi-professional status.

Broadrick has represented Scotland up until U19 level, where she has 16 caps, and has captained the side on numerous occasions.

Since joining Hearts in the summer, Broadrick has featured seven times for the Oriam-based side.

Broadrick has trained with the group on Friday and will be part of the squad who travel to Motherwell this weekend.

The Dons defender is delighted to be returning North-east until the end of the season:

“I am really excited to be back. I am pleased to get going and I am looking forward to seeing what we can do.

“I am excited to be back with the girls and play football. There are lots of benefits for me to come back to Aberdeen. This is a new chapter for me and I can’t wait to get started on Sunday.”

Dons boss Scott Booth is equally pleased to add Broadrick into his squad as his Aberdeen Women side head towards the business end of the campaign.

“I am really happy to bring Jess back to the Club. She is a great person with lots of drive and passion for the game and she wants to be as good as she possibly can be.

“It is familiar surroundings for her and I think she is really happy to be back here.”
