Aberdeen V Dunfermline Athletic, Sunday 9th February

The Dons will welcome Dunfermline Athletic to Pittodrie on Sunday 9th February for our Scottish Cup fifth round tie in a 12:30pm kick-off.

At this fixture, we will come together to pay tribute to former Aberdeen and Dunfermline manager Jimmy Calderwood, following his sad passing last month.

In partnership with Dunfermline Athletic, we will donate £1 from every ticket sold to Alzheimer’s Scotland in recognition of Jimmy’s battle with dementia in his later years.

Both sets of supporters are also preparing special pre-match displays to honour Jimmy’s incredible contribution to both clubs and to Scottish football.

Jimmy Calderwood tribute - 12:25pm

A pre-match tribute display in honour of former Aberdeen and Dunfermline manager Jimmy Calderwood will be held in the Richard Donald Stand, with commemorative items available for supporters to take home as souvenirs.

The display will feature a banner along the upper walkway in the Richard Donald Stand, along with 3,500 printed paperboards which fans will be able to take home. If fans in the RDS lower can be in their seats by 12:20 and then hold the paperboards up with the printed design facing the pitch from 12:25 that would be greatly appreciated.

During Jimmy’s time at the club, the fans were incredible both domestically and across Europe, always bringing the noise and colour, and it would be fantastic if the Red Army could come together to take part in this special display and get behind the team to help push them through to the next round of the Scottish Cup!
