UEFA YOUTH LEAGUE DRAW | INFO
Aberdeen will be making their debut in the reformatted UEFA Youth League this Autumn after a hugely successful 2023/2024 campaign at Under 18 level.
Led by Scott Anderson, The Young Dons lifted the Club Academy Scotland Elite Under 18 League Title to secure qualification on the penultimate day of the season, coming from behind to beat Rangers in Glasgow to clinch the trophy and avenge their defeat in the Youth Cup Final just nine days prior.
The Dons have qualified for the tournament via the Domestic Champions Path thanks to their league victory and will be joined by Celtic who qualify through the UEFA Champions League Path.
The UEFA Youth League is an Under-19 tournament, meaning those who played their part in qualifying for the tournament last campaign but have since graduated from U18 level are eligible for selection.
The Domestic Champions Path involves three rounds of two legged fixtures. Due to being a part of one of the 28-top ranked UEFA associations, the Dons will enter in the second round. The ten winners in the third round will advance to the round of 32, which will be made up of one-leg ties comprising of the 1-6 ranked sides in the Champions path playing those ranked 17-22. The teams that rank 7-16 will play the ten teams who qualify through the Domestic Champions Path.
The draw will take place at 9.00AM (BST) on Tuesday 3rd September in Nyon Switzerland at the UEFA headquarters.
