AFC Player of the Year Awards | 2023/24

The 2023/24 Aberdeen FC Player of the Year Awards, sponsored by Team Recruitment & Tulloch Recruitment, were held at the P&J Live on Thursday evening (25th April).

Both the men’s and women’s awards were handed out on the night with over 1,000 people in attendance, the largest banquet dinner ever held at the venue.

The 10 award winners are listed below:

Aberdeen FC Community Trust Supporter Award

(Sponsored by CNR International)

This award recognises the outstanding contribution made by an individual, group, or organisation in support of the AFC Community Trust vision, which is… “To provide support and opportunity to change lives for the better.”

The winner was chosen by the Trust management team.

The Aberdeen FC Community Trust Supporter of the Year is All AFCCT Volunteers.

Men’s Development Player of the Year

(Sponsored by Fowler McKenzie)

The winner of this award has been selected following consideration from Scott Anderson and his coaching staff. It is based on the contribution that this player has made to the Development Team over the course of the season.

The winner of the Development Player of the Year is Alfie Bavidge. Alfie has now won this award for the second year in a row after picking up the accolade last year.

Women’s Young Player of the Year

The winner of this award is selected by manager Clint Lancaster and his coaching staff and is based on the contribution that this young player has made on the team throughout the season.

The winner of the Young Player of the Year is Maddie Finnie.

Men’s Young Player of the Year

This award has been chosen by first team coaching staff.

The Young Player of the Year for 2023/24 is Jack MacKenzie.

Men’s Players’ Player of the Year

(Sponsored by RAM Tubulars)

This award allows the players to select a team-mate who they believe has made the biggest contribution to the team during the season. The award is voted for by both squads in a private ballot.

Our 2023/24 Players’ Player of the Year award winner is Bojan Miovski.

Women’s Players’ Player of the Year

The AFC Women Players’ Player of the Year for season 2023/24 is Eilidh Shore. This is the fourth year in a row that Eilidh has won this award.

Women’s Goal of the Season

This award is voted for by the Red Army, with the AFC media team drawing up the shortlist.

The 2023/24 Goal of the Season winner is Hannah Stewart for her brilliant strike from distance against Spartans.

Men’s Goal of the Season

(Sponsored by Cable Solutions Worldwide)

Our 2023/24 Goal of the Season winner is Angus MacDonald for his thunderous long-range strike against HJK Helsinki in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Women’s Player of the Year

We gave our supporters the opportunity to vote for both the Men’s & Women’s Player of the Year awards on the AFC Website, with fans asked to select the players they felt had the biggest impact on team performances this season, and who deserved to be the latest recipient of this coveted award.

The AFC Women’s Player of the Year award winner is Bayley Hutchison.
