Important information for supporters heading to Hampden Park on Sunday 17th December for our Viaplay Cup Final against Rangers.

Supporters should take time to familiarise themselves with the following details ahead of the match.

TICKET COLLECTIONS & POSTAGE

If you are expecting your ticket to be delivered by post and have not received it by Thursday 14th December, please get in touch with the Pittodrie Ticket Office via ticketoffice@afc.co.uk

There will be NO reprints available for this match and all tickets should be collected by 5pm on Saturday 16th December. The Pittodrie Ticket Office will be closed on Sunday 17th December and no collections will be available on matchday.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS

Supporters attending the match should be aware that the area immediately surrounding Hampden Park is mainly residential and the availability of on-street parking is extremely limited due to match specific parking restrictions.

On matchday supporters are advised where possible to use public transport to get to and from the stadium, if not travelling by organised coach/bus.

BUSES TO EAST OF STADIUM FOR ABERDEEN FC SUPPORTERS

M8/M73 to M74 Jct 1A (Polmadie) – onto Polmadie Road towards the stadium and follow directions from police motorcyclists to allocated supporters bus parking areas in the east of stadium area.

COACH PARKING FOR THOSE WITH BUS PARKING PASSES

Aberdeen – Purple car park – off Aitkenhead Road.

TURNSTILES

Turnstiles will open at 1.30pm, supporters are encouraged to arrive as early as possible to allow for a safe entry.

Admission to the match is by ticket only and no-one will be admitted to any part of the ground or stadium unless on production of the proper accreditation or ticket issued by the SPFL.

Ticket resolution cabins will be located at the South-West corner from 1pm on match day.

There is no provision for Blue Badge parking at the stadium.

KIOSKS

Kiosks will take card and contactless payment only.

SECURITY CHECKS

Supporters should expect to be searched upon entry to the stadium. All bags will be searched, if you do not need your bag, please do not take it.

All spectators are reminded that security is the responsibility of all those at the ground and not just safety and security personnel. If you see something suspicious or unsafe, please report this to the nearest member of stadium staff, steward or club staff member.

FLAGS

No surfing flags or excessively large poles are permitted. Flag poles should be no more than 1m in length and no wider than a pinkie finger. Flags and banners must conform to the relevant fire regulations and should not hang over advertising boards or cause obstruction or danger to other members of the public. The size of the flag is at the discretion of the Hampden Park safety team. All flags will be examined for content. Flags of an offensive nature will not be permitted.

PYROTECHNICS

Pyrotechnic detection dogs and handlers will be on duty at the game, anyone caught in possession of any pyrotechnics either entering the ground or within the stadium seating decks will face an indefinite ban from the club and could also face criminal proceedings. Do not take pyrotechnic devices to the game, do not light or throw them, do not pick up any pyrotechnic devices as you don’t know what type it is (some explode after flaring or smoking). These can seriously injure you or kill you. Smoke alone can have serious health issues for asthmatics and those with bronchial or other health issues.

Please be aware of the recently enacted law regarding pyrotechnics. (fireworks and pyrotechnic articles (Scotland) act 2022) (prohibition of pyrotechnic articles at designated venues or events). It is an offence for a person, without reasonable excuse, to possess a pyrotechnic article while the person is in a public area or at a designated venue or while at a designated event.

Please do not enter onto the track or field of play unless instructed to do so by Stewards or Police. This can lead to ejection from the stadium and arrest.

GROUND REGULATIONS

UNACCEPTABLE CONDUCT: As at all fixtures, unacceptable conduct will not be tolerated. Any individuals attending the match who are found to have engaged in unacceptable conduct may have disciplinary action taken against them. This may include removal of ticketing privileges for games, removal of season tickets and bans from stadiums for a specified period/or other appropriate sanctions. Unacceptable Conduct may also lead to criminal charges.

Both clubs operate a zero‐tolerance policy towards racism. Inappropriate/offensive songs should not be sung and dependant on the content, could be followed up by the clubs and Police Scotland.
