Ross McCrorie has tonight completed his move to English Championship side Bristol City for an undisclosed fee.

The Dons defender joined Aberdeen on loan from Rangers in the summer of 2020 before making the switch permanent when he signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at the end of the January transfer window in 2021. Over the past three seasons Ross has become one of the team’s most consistent performers, impressing in midfield, central defence and more recently at right back. In season 2021/22 he was named the AFC Player of the Year.

The 25-year-old made 115 appearances for Aberdeen, scoring eight goals and captained the side on a number of occasions.

And last night he was rewarded for his performances this season with a deserved call up to the Scotland squad for the European Championship Qualifiers against Norway and Georgia later this month.

Everyone at Aberdeen FC would like to thank Ross for his commitment and dedication during his time at Pittodrie and wish him all the very best this summer with Scotland, and with his future career at The Robins.
