"It’s good to reward the fans with a win"
Ross McCrorie was delighted to wrap up the first part of the season with a win, as he explained after the game.
“Third place and a cup semi-final to look forward to after the break, it’s been a good first part of the season for us. Tonight, it was the points that mattered. First half, I thought we were terrific, we had good chances. Second half was a bit scrappy but as a team we defended excellently and we’re really pleased to get the clean sheet we deserved.
“We owed them one after losing at Tannadice, that wasn’t good enough, and then we needed a reaction from Livingston as well. We’ve been good at bouncing back and we did it again tonight.
“The away form hasn’t been good enough and we need to use the break to try and rectify that. We can tidy up the small details and hopefully come back as a stronger team away and carry on getting the results here. The fans have been tremendous again tonight and it’s good to reward them with a win.
“The home form has been brilliant and it’s exciting to think we’ll have Celtic and Rangers here as soon as we come back. It’s down to the hard work we’ve put into it on the training pitch and the backing of the fans here. The gaffer wants us to put on a show for them here and we’ve done that a lot of times this season.
“It’ll be good to get over to Atlanta and get some training in, analyse the first part of the season, see what we can do better. It’ll be good for us all to go away together too. It’s never easy when there’s a big turnover of players but the boys have settled in well, it’s a good bunch, we’re very close knit and this week away will just add to that.”
