Co-manager Gavin Beith previews the match:

“In our last match at the weekend, we had a difficult defeat to Hibs’ Edinburgh rivals Hearts. It was another tough game as we search for our first win of the season. We have a big day coming up next week at Pittodrie and it would be good to get a win to take into that.

“Hibernian probably haven’t had the start to the season that they would’ve hoped for either. They have taken in a lot of new signings and I think it has been well documented from their manager that they’re still trying to find their feet as a team. You can see that they are getting there though and they are team that can be very good on their day. They have a good squad full of quality players so we will have to go into the game showing all our qualities in terms of our belief and work rate to get something from the game.

“We had five of our players away on Scotland duty over the international break prior to the Hearts game. Annalisa McCann, Mya Christie, Millie Urquhart, Eva Thomson and Jessica Broadrick were all called up to the Scotland under-19s squad for their games against Spain. Finland and Switzerland. It was great to see five of our players getting called up and it is a sign of how good our young squad is that both Brodie Greenwood and Madison Finnie are away with the Scotland under-17 squad this week.

“We’ve been focussing on ourselves and looking to take the positives from what has been a tough start to the campaign. As always, we’ll enjoy the support of the home fans this time at the Balmoor Stadium. The team have been given tremendous support from the stands in the games up until now and I know the players appreciate every single person that comes to watch.”
