AFC’s Official Youth Academy Partner, RAM Tubulars, have strengthened their efforts to encourage the next generation of Dons fans in the North-East with another ticket giveaway.

Earlier this season RAM Tubulars provided tickets to pupils at St Machar Academy, giving them the opportunity to enjoy a matchday at Pittodrie. The lucky recipients this time were pupils from Buchanhaven Primary School who enjoyed a matchday experience at Pittodrie thanks to the ticket donation.

The tickets were distributed to families attending AFCCT’s Food and Fun programme during the first week of the school holidays.

The Food and Fun Partnership was set up to help prevent school children going hungry during school holidays and help alleviate the burden on low-income families during that time. The programme is delivered at different localities across Aberdeen City and Shire including Buchanhaven Primary School.

Claire Garrett Senior Community Projects Officer for AFCCT said “It is fantastic to be able to give these pupils the tickets. It creates opportunities for them to spend time together as families and make memories that will last a lifetime.”

RAM Tubulars, service leaders in tubulars for the energy and construction Industries, signed a three-year deal to become an Official Supporter of Aberdeen FC’s Bobby Clark Youth Academy earlier this season.

A long-term supporter of Aberdeen FC, RAM Tubulars were keen to strengthen its relationship with the Club. A key driver in their decision was the opportunity to bolster the ‘pipeline’ of young talent coming through the ranks at Pittodrie.

RAM Tubulars Managing Director Jim Stewart said: “I’ve spoken before about how initiatives like this ticket giveaway, through our partnership with Aberdeen FC, allow us to support local youngsters and families across the North-East.

“That is something everyone here at RAM Tubulars takes a sense of pride in. Not only are we committed to investing in young talent, but we are engaging with and giving back to our local communities.”

A champion of young, local sports talent in the North-East, RAM Tubulars has been title sponsor of female race car driver, Hannah Chapman, for over six years and also sponsors young athletes in the Grampian Athletics League; the RAM Athletics League.
