The Official Document Solutions Partner of AFC, Konica Minolta, have boosted their engagement with the North-East community by supporting one of AFCCT’s partner schools with a donation of tickets for a match at Pittodrie.

Thanks to the generous giveaway from Konica Minolta, pupils and their families from Heathryburn Primary School received tickets for the Aberdeen v Ross County match last week.

Konica Minolta’s Head of Sales (Scotland), Steve Young said: “Our partnership with Aberdeen Football Club is about much more than building business relationships, we want to build a relationship with the North-East, boosting the support that AFC already provides for the local community.”

Heathryburn Primary School, a participant of AFCCT’s Partner Schools initiative, used the tickets as part of a family engagement event at the end of term to encourage families to spend time together in their community.

AFCCT’s partner schools initiative helps to reduce the poverty related attainment gap through a range of health and wellbeing interventions.

Claire Garrett, Senior Community Projects Officer for AFCCT, is in no doubt of the positive impact the ticket giveaway had on the families. She said: “Gestures like this ticket giveaway mean so much to these families. It gives them the opportunity to not only experience a matchday at Pittodrie, but to spend time together, something they might not get to do otherwise.”

Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK), a global technology service and support company strengthened their relationship with Aberdeen Football Club in June 2021 by becoming the Club’s first Official Document Solutions Partner.
