Ahead of Sir Alex Ferguson’s visit for the unveiling of his statue at Pittodrie next weekend, the Red Matchday team have been busy putting together a special souvenir programme that will, we hope, be a fitting tribute to perhaps the greatest football manager of all time.

The publication will be A4 in size, featuring 100 pages with a spine and is packed with interviews and features as we take a nostalgic look back at the 1980s and the days when Sir Alex and his Red Army laid waste to all-comers, at home and abroad.

Willie Miller, Bobby Clark, Archie Knox, Willie Garner, Walker McCall, John McMaster, Dougie Bell, John Hewitt, Neil Simpson, Frank McDougall, Billy Stark, Bryan Gunn, Craig Brown. These are just some of the names that have given their time to share stories about the Dons’ greatest ever manager and give a real insight into life at Pittodrie during that era.

The programme will be available to purchase from the AFC Club shop on Friday February 25th. It will be on sale at the Statute unveiling on the Friday inside the RDS and of course our programme sellers will be out and about ahead of the match against Dundee United on the Saturday.
