Co-manager Gavin Beith previews our game with Hearts Women this Sunday which sees a return to playing at home at the Balmoral Stadium. To watch his interview in full on RedTV, please click here.

“Last week was a result that the team had to grind out but we’re going to have to do that at times over the course of the season. It’s a very competitive league and to go down to play Spartans and come away with a point after being resilient and working hard is good. We created chances as well and although Gail was rightly player of the match after making two brilliant saves, on another day we might’ve came away with a win.

“We are on a run of three games unbeaten and we’ve had three clean sheets in that run but as we prepare to face Hearts, we know it will be another tough game. I don’t think there will be any easy games in this SWPL1 season as the league is so competitive and Hearts will be coming here looking to win. It’s all about us maintaining our standards and although we’ve done that recently we need to maintain that to keep earning points.

“Hearts have a new coach this season in Eva Olid and she has been in for a month or so now and will be starting to make her mark on the players there. Today will be another really challenging game for us but we will try and implement the things that we are good at and if we manage that then we should get another positive result.

“The backing of the fans at the Balmoral Stadium in the games so far has been absolutely fantastic. I hear the girls talking about it at training and there is a buzz about coming back to the Balmoral again today. The fans at the Celtic and Hamilton games were brilliant and it can make all the difference to the girls. The players put so much time and effort into playing for Aberdeen so having people turn out to watch them is just rewards for their efforts. Your support makes a difference to the team so thank you for coming along and hopefully you can cheer us on to another positive result today.”

Midfielder Natasha Bruce also spoke to RedTV to preview Sunday’s game. Click here to watch on RedTV.
