Congratulations to Allstars United SC
Aberdeen FC’s International Club Partner, Allstars United SC, achieve coveted DPL status for Girls Program.
Allstars United SC, one of Aberdeen FC’s International Club Partners, will join the Development Player League (DPL) as founding members of the Northwest Conference; a move which allows the girls program to compete at the next level for the 21/22 season.
The Allstars United SC top Girls Academy (GA) teams will now be able to compete in a Club vs Club set up beginning spring 2022, in a move designed to expand the GA player pool for participating clubs across the US.
This is a significant achievement for Allstars as this will create a pathway to professional soccer careers and national team selection in the US as the league creates a highly professional training environment and competitive model for aspiring GA players, bridging the gap between Club soccer and Girls Academy Soccer.
In a unique footballing partnership, Aberdeen FC has been supporting Allstars United SC since 2019 as they strive to develop world class players in a world class environment with world class coaches.
Essential to the success to date of this strategic collaboration with Allstars, is the ways in which Aberdeen FC have worked with Allstars to advise in club structures, club development and player development while also sharing coaching methodologies.
Post Covid restrictions Aberdeen FC staff will visit the Allstars Academy in San Jose to support the continuous advice on the club structure and to deliver bespoke coaching workshops to share knowledge in player development.
Andrew McRobbie, Allstars United SC, Director of Club, said: “We are really excited and honoured to be one of the founding members of the DPL Northwest conference.
“We’re delighted to allow our girls players to access another level of play both in conference and showcases to allow them to experience the best events possible. The DPL has been the perfect proving grounds for big clubs all around the country and Allstars United is ready to represent the Bay Area on the national stage!”
Aberdeen FC are renowned for producing talented young players through its Youth Academy with a number of academy graduates in both the first team and the Scotland National Team; the International Club Partnership with Allstars United allows the Club to further develop its brand of football on both sides of the Atlantic, while helping to nurture and grow its partner club to be more successful in its operations.
Andrew McRobbie Allstars Program Technical Director added, “It was clear from the outset that we all have similar goals and ideals within football; it is extremely satisfying to see progress this early into our partnership and to have the support from all areas of the Aberdeen Football Club whether its coaching, commercial or marketing advice, we have always aimed to have this partnership to accelerate our club’s development on all fronts.”
