Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT) is an award-winning charity, existing to provide support and opportunity to change lives for the better, across the North East Scotland and beyond.

AFCCT is the independent partner charity of Aberdeen Football Club and, together with the ‘hook’ of football, utilises the Club’s high profile, brand and connections to enhance the delivery of the Trust’s charitable objectives to benefit local communities and positively influence others.

We have 2 vacancies for a Community Projects Officer (based in Aberdeen City) on a fixed term contract from August 2021 to July 2022. The role will involve planning, delivering and evaluating an Alternative Curriculum for young people in Aberdeen.

Working collaboratively with the school and wider partners, this role will support young people to engage in learning, achieve alternative qualifications, support young people to access experiential learning opportunities, and provide a positive pathway to help young people succeed.

This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, primarily Monday – Friday during school hours, with occasional evening & weekend required.

Applicants should have a degree, or relevant experience, in Community Development, Youth Work, Alternative Learning settings, and have a passion for working with a wide range of young people and community groups. The successful candidate should be comfortable in planning, delivering, and evaluating, learning and activity-based sessions for young people.

The salary for this role is dependent on qualifications and/or experience.
