Vacancy | Professional Phase Sport Scientist

An opportunity has arisen to join our Sport Science and Medical Team at AFC. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to become our Professional Phase Sport Scientist. The primary focus of this full-time role will be to plan, implement and monitor our sport science and physical development program to our young professional players, aiming to bridge the gap between our academy and first team.

The role features prominently within a multi-disciplinary team with key internal relationships with football coaching staff, performance analysts, medical staff and operations staff.

As well as supporting the Reserve and Development squads on match and training days the Professional Phase Sport Scientist will help manage development loans and develop physical player profiles that will assist in the succession planning and development pathway of our young professional players.

The role will also involve assisting the Head of Sport Science in the delivery and support of the first team within training, strength & conditioning, prehab/rehab sessions when required.

This is a full-time role with varied working hours to suit the football schedule.

Applicants should have a Degree level qualification in Sport Science (or equivalent) with experience working within a professional football environment.

The salary for this role is dependent on qualifications and/or experience.
