Curtis "extremely satisfying"
“It was extremely satisfying to score twice today.
“It has been a frustrating first half of the season for myself, it was nice to come in and get off the mark and get a goal.
“We wanted to get after them early and get on the front foot. The goal helped that but our play in the first half was very good and very attacking.
“I had surgery in the summer, and I have had little niggles where we have not been able to get to the bottom of the cause of the problem, hopefully now I am past that and I can just focus on moving forward and playing games.
“It has been nice to train consistently over the last few weeks and I have played some minutes as well. The training volume I have been able to do has been the most pleasing thing for me. That was rewarded with a start today and hopefully that is what I can continue to do.
“If you have got competition, you need to be on your game all of the time. It is not unhealthy and for me it has just been frustrating that I have not been able to train and play, that has been the biggest thing. It has not been any person necessarily keeping me out of the team, it has been more that I have not been able to play. Hopefully now it is not going to be an issue and I can continue to put in those type of performances.
“There are certainly goals in this team. It is something we want to build on and take that into the coming games.
“I am out of contract in the summer, but it has not been at the forefront of my mind because I have not been able to play football every day. The main thing for me has been concentrating on fitness and showing everybody what I can do and why I was brought to the club in the first place. If I keep doing that then I am sure conversations will take place further down the line.
“It is quite tight in the league and you just have to take it one game at a time. December is full of fixtures and you just have to be ready to attack each game one by one. We have got to try and build on the momentum. Hopefully we can have a really strong December and come out of the other side and see where the table lies then.”
