Season Ticket Update | Matched donation to AFCCT extended!

To date, 4,800 fans have purchased 20/21 season tickets and, through the investors’ matched 10% donation linked to season tickets, over £120,000 has been raised for the Trust.

This is despite not knowing what will happen with the current season and when the new season will commence. For this loyalty and generosity during these uncertain times, we are incredibly grateful.

Thank you.

AFC’s investors have agreed to extend the deadline for their 10% matched donation to the Trust from 30th of April to 1st June. With that news we have now set the ambitious target of generating £200,000 through a matched donation, to allow the Trust to continue its vital work in supporting those most in need in our community through the COVID19 crisis.

Since launching our season ticket sales at the beginning of March, the coronavirus crisis has changed everything. In recognition of that, we pushed back the 4 month payment deadline until end of April and are now able to offer an extension of the 6 month (interest free) and 10 month payment plans to cover the early bird and renewal period.

We will continue to monitor feedback from supporters, alongside what’s happening in the wider football landscape over the coming weeks and make adjustments to deadlines, where we can, whilst balancing the need to bring vital income into the club now. We are also looking at the best ways in which we can deliver value for the new season tickets in the event that we may not get back to playing football in front of fans until the beginning of next year.

Thanks for your continued support!

#StillStandingFree Campaign

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak we quickly marshalled our forces as a club to support the community through our #StillStandingFree campaign. Our message to our city, our region and our supporters is that we have been Standing Free since 1903 and we will be #StillStandingFree at the end of this if we all stick together!

So far AFCCT has been able to support almost 4,000 people throughout the region by delivering food and supplies in conjunction with CFINE (Community Food Initiatives North-East) whilst Club & Trust staff have been bolstering the mental health of the region by calling supporters who may be most at risk of social isolation.

By purchasing your season ticket by 1st June you will not only be allowing our partner charity to carry out this vital work, you will also support:

– Mental health in the region by running a MINDSET workshop throughout schools in the city and shire to build resilience and confidence in our future generations.

– Hosting a community day in the autumn at Cormack Park for NHS staff and frontline workers who are keeping us all safe during this crisis.
